Apex Clipped Corner Slides

The Apex clipped corners are clipped at 45° angles to help reduce glass breakage and fragmentation when loaded into slide printers. These slides have been optimized for use with the Leica IP S Printer and Sakura Finetek printer.

Apex Patient Control Box Slides

Apex Patient Control Box Slides have clearly designated areas for positive control and patient tissues.

Beveled Edge Slides feature beveled edges and corners that make for easier handling. The 25 mm x 75mm slides are washed and carefully inspected to ensure quality.

Blue Ribbon is a universal paraffin containing synthetic polymers that can be used both as an infiltration and embedding medium. The paraffin enables the impregnation of tissue to occur rapidly and completely. The wax however will remain stable even at elevated temperatures. It is available in a case of 10 x 2 lb (0.91 kg) lightweight bags to facilitate handling. The bluish tint promotes better visibility of smaller or milky-colored/opaque specimens popular with Dermatology and Urology Labs.

These slides are 3”x 1” White Snowcoat slides with two circles, each having a diameter of 1/2”. These circles match up with the Cytology Funnel, which is to be used for preparation of non-gyn cytology specimens.

Close attention is paid to providing consistently sharp , finely honed blades necessary to meet the high-quality sectioning standards required in today's histology laboratories. The blades fit a standard low profile blade holder and are supplied in an ejector dispenser pack, featuring a storage compartment for the safe discard of spent blades.
