The Apex Adhesive Slides portfolio consists of microscope slides made of white glass and coated with a proprietary adhesive coating for a positive charge, to promote tissue adhesion and to allow the slide to be more hydrophilic. This hydrophilicity provides a better base for homogeneous covering by aqueous stains and reagents leading to consistent full slide staining. All slides in the Apex portfolio are recommended for demanding procedures such as standard IHC and HIER techniques. Size: 1” x 3” x .04”

X-tra Thermal Slides are adhesive slides that are optimized for use with thermal printers. Hydrophobic surface with approximately 90-degree contact angle. Recommended uses include special stains, IHC, ISH, cryosectioning, and cytology.

Micro Cover Glass features the finest precleaned borosilicate glass, chosen for its uniform thinness and flatness. This non-corrosive non-fogging cover glass is packed on its edge in a lint-free, shock absorbing lining. X-tra Slides have a positive charged surface which helps to bond tissue sections and cytology preparations. X‐tra slides are used for demanding H&E procedures that require tissue adhesion. Size: 1” x 3” x .04” (unless otherwise noted) Hydrophobic surface with approximately 90-degree contact angle. Recommended uses include special stains, IHC, ISH, cryosectioning, and cytology.

These slides are 3”x 1” White Snowcoat slides with two circles, each having a diameter of 1/2”. These circles match up with the Cytology Funnel, which is to be used for preparation of non-gyn cytology specimens.

Beveled Edge Slides feature beveled edges and corners that make for easier handling. The 25 mm x 75mm slides are washed and carefully inspected to ensure quality.

Q: PERMAFLEX and PERMAFLEX Plus

Newly designed frosted area (patent pending) is validated to work on the Leica IP S ink-jet and Perma S thermal printers. Leica Biosystems PERMAFLEX and PERMAFLEX Plus adhesive slides are flexible print slides that show high print quality and readability by scanners, chemical resistance, positive staining and minimal background in five popular colors. PERMAFLEX Benefits: Validated to work on ink-jet and thermal printers** Tested for chemical resistance to common lab reagents (e.g. Xylene, chromic acid, etc.) Tested to provide consistent high-quality staining without any disadvantages of background staining Newly designed color-coded packaging Standard sizing fits most instrumentation *Internally validated to work in the Leica IP S & Perma S as well as the ThermoFisher Slidemate printer. **Performance validation consisted of testing a total of 3,699 of all five colored slides on ink-jet and thermal printers. Q: Apex BOND Adhesive Slides

The Apex BOND is an extension of the Apex Adhesive Slides portfolio that is specifically designed and validated for IHC staining on the BOND platform. The eight dots represent the usable areas of the Apex BOND for the different dispense volumes in the BOND processing modules. *Leica Biosystems confirms through objective evidence (based on testing protocols1) that Apex BOND meets performance specifications for IHC staining on the BOND-III and BOND-MAX platforms. Protocol validation completed on IHC F and IHC J.

Q: Apex Clipped Corner Slides

The Apex clipped corners are clipped at 45° angles to help reduce glass breakage and fragmentation when loaded into slide printers. These slides have been optimized for use with the Leica IP S Printer and Sakura Finetek printer.
